不愿迷失

刚刚在班上用大图书说故事，
里面很多令人兴奋的图片，小朋友们都沸腾起来。

一个男孩兴奋的跑上来告诉我他认识哪一些地方。
我正要开口，另一个男孩大声骂他，叫他坐下。
结果他在班上哭了起来，
我的心也痛了起来。

其实我开口不是要骂他，而是要谢谢他愿意分享，
然后再请他坐下来。

骂他的小男孩没有错，他只是觉得要尊重讲话的老师，不能随意走动。

但要跟我分享的男孩，他有错吗?

他很活泼，守规矩对他来说是一个挑战。
大家说他有点过动。

他有一颗好学的心，但我很担心规矩会让他冷却下来。
所以要慢慢的引导。
我不想靠责骂来教他。

过动不是病不是错，是特质而已。
世界可以迷失，可是我是他的老师，
我不可以迷失。

My Communicative Strengths and Weaknesses

I believe one of my personal strengths in communication is that I can talk to just about anyone. I enjoy talking with people. In communication, my strength would be that I have the ability to listen as well as respond. I enjoy having conversation with people of different cultures, because it gives me a chance to learn more about their lifestyle.

I have learned to communicate well with people, because I am an outgoing person. I communicate better one on one. I have a weakness with communication when it comes to having to speak to a large group of people. I become very nervous, and will sometimes forget what I wanted to say.

My weakness in communication is also when I have to speak in front of the school, or in front of a very large group of people I become nervous, because my weakness of thinking that they are more focused on me than on the information that I will be presenting. I work at that weakness by having the personal strength to try to make the presentation enjoyable so that the focus will not be so much on the speaker but the information be presented to the group.

Communication for me is easy depending on the topic being discussed. I sometimes have a weakness in the fact that I may be too honest with my answer and do not think before answering. I realize that when you are communicating with people, they really do not want the truth because it hurts and is offensive.

I find that it is much easier for me to communicate, when I have knowledge of the conversation being discussed. I am very weak when it comes to starting a conversation and leading the discussion. I will avoid a conversation as much as possible when I have to present the information to be discussed. In communication, I am also weak in the area that I will choose to listen more that participate.

In having communicated with all different types of people, I once was told that if you stop and think for five seconds before you speak, your communication skills would present themselves in a most intelligent manner. Communication comes somewhat easy for me, because I like to talk, but just talking and not communicating would become a weakness.

Blog 3 - The impact of the Masterplans

 Has any of the Masterplans impacted you as a student/teacher (if any)?

       No.,I just have some basic training for using powerpoint,microsoft word and microsoft excel. At the time ,internet access is  just using by academy usage or administrative usage only.

     In my contract school, we have a IT department to plan the masterplans of student and staff in school .We have train to use the IT resource and teach pupils to use. The IT   department teacher also have soma course to train student the knowledge and concept in using internet access.

How do you think the current Masterplan 3 may affect your role(s) as a beginning teacher?

     As my role as a  beginning teacher,I should train myself to familier the ICT devices provided by MOE and the lastest resource to let my lesson become more interesting and lively. Not only that ,I need to combine the text and IT resource to let my lesson become effectively.As a teacher ,I need to learn with the times.

Blog 2 - Why do you think it is important for MOE to develop the 3 Masterplans for ICT in education?

      I think it is important for MOE to develop the three Masterplans for ICT in education.It is because the ICT 's resource can help teacher teach effective and help student to learn more comprehensive.In my opinion,the role of  ICT is not merely to provide information like in web resources ,but more importantly,is to support interaction and scaffolding through various media forms for productive interaction.

       I have complete my secondary study in Johor Malaysia.My school have not many budget to create a learning environment of IT learning,we don't have a masterplans impacted us as a student who mastery IT skill.We just have a basic traning for using powerpoint,microsoft word and microsoft excel.Can't imagine right?I need to learn many skill  of using IT resource to handle my university's life . Therefore,I am fully support the masterplans for ICT in education. 

       Based on my enhanced school experience, I think the three Masterplans for ICT in education is useful and necessery.I hope this plan can begin to work for gain us in our school's life. 

Blog 1 - The experience of the use of ICT

What ICT tools were used?  
The main ICT tools used were the powerpoint, Xuele edumall, Lead.com,iflashbook. 

Describe how ICT was used for teaching & learning:
     I was posted to Corporation Primary School this January. I was taken two classes in Primary Two and Primary Four to teach Chinese Language. I would like to share my experience with the use of ICT in CL class.
        My P2 CL class had 30 pupils. There was MA level pupils in my class,that mean the pupils were average in their performance.Like other CL teachers in the school, I started the lesson with the use of  web-resource"Xuele" to teach. I invited the pupils to sit on the floor and clicked on the text in "xuele" to let the pupils listen to the self-reading text.
       After playing the text twice or third , I clicked on the pictures beside the text. The picture sprang to life. All the children were attracted when the animation started about what was mentioned in the text and acted upon it.They laughed no matter how many times the animation had been played.
      When playing the animation, I sat with pupils who have special needs to attend to their needs. They were concentration and their listenning and reading skill in Chinese Language not as good as their classmates.  However, when the animation was played, they had been attract immediately. Their eyes sparkled with interest. They enjoyed the animation as much as their fellow classmates.
       I had prepare some questions by using power point to check the understanding of puplis and for them to ask me questions.
       When I make sure that the class were able to read the text and understand the meaning. I started another programme called HanShen(汉神). HanShen is a programme which teaches about the stroke order of Chinese characters. It has a writing game that let the users to write the Chinese characters on the screen.Normally, I typed a few Chinese characters that were mentioned in the text they just learned. Then, I invited pupils to write on the screen. More than half of the pupils raised their hands up and shouted, "I want! I want!"
       Their shouting stirred the interest of the special needs children. Their eyes closely followed their classmate's finger on the screen. When their classmate finished writing, they quickly put up their hands when I asked for the next characters.

Generally, how did the teachers in the school use of ICT for teaching and learning? 

        Generally, I was amused by the power of ICT in stirring the interest of pupils to learn mother tongue. From the attachment, I noticed that CL teachers in the school used ICT tools extensively.All the teachers are comfortable with the use of ICT and consider ICT is vital in teaching and learning.
